What is a good side of Gulf Beach Florida?

My family goes on vacation for a week and still have not decided which beach you want to visit. My aunt suggested Clearwater, but do not want to travel so far south. We intend to stop Orlando, spend a day at the beach, and then drive to our hotel in Marion, so somewhere between these two cities would be best. Multiple suggestions are welcome, because who knows if we will not beat the tarballs there. : (Thanks!

Believe it or not, there are sandy beaches between Clearwater Beach to Carrabelle Beach reach, which is the way way way in the peninsula of Florida. The Gulf Coast along that area is very swampy state, the right to the coast. Clearwater Beach appears to be in the wrong direction, but it is the nearest beach of the Gulf Orlando and Marion. And it is certainly beautiful white sand and stunning blue water. Another idea is to shoot over the Atlantic before heading to Marion, either new or Smyrna Beach Daytona Beach. The journey is shorter to the beaches and those more or less in the right direction. Both have good beaches and decent-looking water.
