The three-day breast cancer walk is over for more than 1,000 people.
The group raised more than $3 million and covered more than 60 miles on their journey.
After five years of walking the three-day breast cancer event, George Dearman has had to turn in the tennis shoes for a noisemaker.
“I had some medical issues and had to stop training in September,” Dearman said.
But his voice is still as healthy as can be. He was there encouraging walkers at the end of their 60 miles and pumping up nearby cheerleaders, such as Debbie Roseman.
“He’s inspired me and everybody else out here,” said Roseman, a cancer survivor.
The money raised this weekend helps with cancer research, education and community health programs.
