Confirmed case of swine flu at 'A Ginny's Little Giants

A Ginny’s Little Giants,’ in north St. Petersburg has swine flu.

The child was diagnosed on Monday and the day care alerted the Pinellas County Health Department.

The student likely will need seven days to recover, according to officials. The H1N1 virus normally takes about a week before a patient is considered recovered.

Officials at the day care also have alerted staff members, other children at the center and parents.

The confirmed case is the second at a Pinellas County day care center.

Last week a Tarpon Springs summer camper was diagnosed with the virus.

That child has since recovered and returned to camp.
